2024 Afterschool Adventures:

January 5th:  Cardboard Creations - Our first afterschool adventure will feature cardboard and all the MAKEDO tools you will need to construct -- what will it be ... a fort, a maze, a ship;  work collaboratively and unleash your creativity during this fun interactive program!

January 19th:  Salt and Watercolor Painting - experiment with techniques for making art using salt and watercolors.  Perfect for winter themed art!

 February 2nd:  String Art - We will carefully attach string to a series of small nails to make beautiful artistic pieces on wood blocks. This is a perfect STEAM activity!

February 16th: Making Decorative Shadow Boxes - Make your own unique shadow box art! We will provide everything you need to make a fabulous display.

March 1st: Slime Time - It is time for a slime party!  We will bring a new and different slime recipe with some fun additives to play around with!

March 15th: Decorating Garden Pots -  Spring Is Here!  Decorate your own garden pot and plant something special to celebrate the season! 

April 5th:  NO AFTERSCHOOL ADVENTURES  -- LIBRARY CLOSED.

May 3rd: Lavender Sugar Scrub - Make yourself or someone special a treat  - lavender sugar scrubs and fun to make and relaxing and soothing to use!

Join us for a special seminar presented by the National Alliance on Mental Illness. The El Dorado Hills Library is hosting a 90 minutes seminar that informs and supports people who have loved ones with a mental health condition. Participants learn about diagnoses, treatment, recovery, communication strategies, crisis preparation and NAMI resources. Seminar leaders have personal experience with mental health conditions in their families. The seminar will take place from 2-4:30 with additional time for questions at the end of the presentation.
